Carley Kintzle, originally from Epworth, Iowa, is a junior majoring in Agricultural Communication and Public Relations. Beyond academics, she serves as an academic peer mentor, actively engages in the ISU Sigma Alpha Chapter, is a part of the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow club, a member of the Block and Bridle Club, and of course, is active in Start Something CALS where she is part of the Change-Maker Academy and the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA).

Introduced to Start Something CALS by Professor Jim Groepper in ECON 2360, Kintzle found a supportive system for entrepreneurial growth. Through the networking and workshops provided by the Change-Maker Academy, Kintzle aims to leverage her skills to eventually pursue a career in agricultural marketing and hopes to continue to grow her businesses.

Kintzle encourages those hesitant about entrepreneurship to embrace new opportunities, emphasizing the value of stepping outside of their comfort zone. When asked about her cherished memories within Start Something CALS, she responded “This organization has provided multiple opportunities for growth, but one of my most fond memories is the Startup Tour, where I was able to make industry connections and gain different insights.”

Choosing to participate in Start Something CALS was driven by Kintzle’s desire for business growth and expanded horizons. Through these platforms, she has gained valuable connections and diverse perspectives, fueling personal and professional development. Overall, Carley Kintzle embodies innovation and resilience within agriculture and entrepreneurship. She thanks Start Something CALS for helping her pave the way.
