Innovation Project Title: Field Ecology Teaching: A Course Enabling Student to Gain Professional Skills while Engaging Children in Scientific Exploration
Timothy Stewart is working to provide undergraduate students with training and experience in teaching ecology while also presenting elementary students the opportunity to engage in scientific activities in the outdoors. Undergraduate students will earn two credits through this course in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management while gaining professional skills and helping educate younger children on ecology and the outdoors.
